JD Logistics‘ first batch of battery-changing new energy vehicles put into transportation, and there will be thousands of battery-changing light trucks by the end of this year
On August 15, as the first logistics enterprise in the country to invest in battery-swapped vehicles on a large scale, JD Logistics put the first batch of battery-swapped new energy vehicles into actual operation. At present, JD Logistics has successively launched battery-changing vehicles across the country. It is expected that by the end of 2022, 1,000 battery-changing light trucks will be launched.
According to estimates, in the same running time, it takes 3 hours for a new energy transport vehicle of a 4.2-meter van to be fully charged, and through the battery swap mode, it takes only 5 minutes for a new energy vehicle of the same specification, which effectively solves the problem of new energy. The "anxiety" of the battery life of logistics vehicles will make the use time of each new energy logistics vehicle more environmentally friendly and sustainable. While improving the transportation efficiency of the fleet, the fleet structure can be further optimized through the battery swap mode, which effectively reduces operating costs.
Over the years, JD Logistics has continued to develop green transportation. By the end of 2021, JD Logistics has deployed about 20,000 new energy logistics vehicles in more than 50 cities across the country, which can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 400,000 tons per year.
