Common identification method
Under non-professional conditions, the following methods can be used for identification:
(1) Measure by hand, with the same capacity batteries, lithium batteries are lighter than nickel-metal hydride and nickel-cadmium batteries;
(2) Observe during charging. When charging the battery with a special charger for lithium batteries, if the battery heats up during the charging process, it is a nickel-metal hydride or nickel-cadmium battery. The lithium battery does not generate heat;
(3) Short-circuit test, use the battery after "instantly" short-circuit the positive and negative poles of the battery. If the battery is dead, it is a lithium battery. If the battery is still charged, it is a nickel-metal hydride or nickel-cadmium battery.
Professional identification method
(1) There are professional tools to identify the anti-counterfeiting marks: such as the number of the battery board, the fake battery is generally printed, so it will feel smoother. Many more genuine batteries will have their own anti-counterfeiting marks.
(2) Use professional detectors
(3) Investigate battery performance
(4) Check the battery logo
(5) Observe the abnormal conditions of charging: Lithium batteries have overcharge protection, and there will be no heat, smoke, explosion, etc. during charging.
